Description of Issue

Access to the Nucleus is via iPad as remote. Normally brilliant but will not access Roon core no matter what I do. Wasted hours on help site. No joy at all.

Powers up with white light showing. Internet fine, been no changes. What the ?.
Purchased I think late 2021. Help help me Ronda.

Welcome to the community Michael (or is it Ronda?), and sorry that you’re having trouble with your Nucleus.

A couple of things to check first:

  • Are you able to access the Web Administration page of the Nucleus? Use the web browser of your iPad (or Mac/PC).
  • If you can’t access it (because the Nucleus has vanished from your home network), then can you attach a TV or Monitor to the HDMI output of the Nucleus? If so, then do this and reboot the Nucleus, and tell us what messages appear of the screen (or post a photo of the screen).

Thank you for reply.I have attached a tv vis HDMI but got nothing. I admit to not understanding how to access the web administration interface. You invite me to use my internet browser…and search for what. The help centre advice does not help me. Are you able to be more specific as to what I look for on my browser? Thank you. Ronda

web GUI is normally via http://nucleus.local or http://nucleusplus.local

it has a 2 year warranty so where did you purchase it? if it was Roon support will pick this up and help. if it was via reseller then you should probably seek some assistance from them.

Ben here with the support team here, I wanted to follow up on this thread to see if you’re still having issues. Also, welcome to the community! We’re excited to have you here, and also apologize that its an issue that prompted your first post.

You’re in great hands with @Geoff_Coupe and @wizardofoz. They are correct in next steps surrounding accessing the WebUI of your nucleus. Because you have a Nucleus+, you’ll want to copy and paste http://nucleusplus.local into your browser URL.

To confirm, there was only a black screen when connecting your nucleus to a monitor via HDMI? Nothing at all showing on the screen?

Tried everything. Web GUI address cannot be accessed. Hooked up another Roon core and was able to log in and play no trouble.Was able to see IP address via HDMI on connected screen with the alternative server. Nucleus + appears to have died. Sending back to retailer. Less than one year old with not a lot of use.

@Michael_Dodds thank you for letting me know. You should still be under warranty so your retailer should be able to get things straightened out for you :+1:
