Describe the issue

I am a user from China, and due to network issues, I have to use a network proxy on the computer where the Roon server is installed. Unfortunately, using the proxy server prevents me from accessing Roon ARC when I am outside my home network.

Upon investigation, I found that Roon ARC incorrectly identifies my IP address as that of the proxy server. To resolve this, I need to configure my proxy software to allow certain domains or IP addresses to bypass the proxy. This way, Roon ARC can correctly recognize my home IP address.

Could you please provide a list of domains or IP addresses that should be excluded from the proxy to ensure the proper functionality of Roon ARC?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @Ivan_Lau,

Thank you for your post. Unfortunately, the diverse range of upstream services required for Roon and ARC prevent us from sharing any evergreened list - there are too many addresses that would require constant updating on both our parts.

That said, many proxy services do allow for ARC to function out-of-the-box by offering different NAT traversal mechanisms, etc. Please see this thread for a little more information: Is Roon banned in China?
