Describe the issue
I was using my PC as a server but added Nucleus One recently. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Roon a few times but there seems to be a conflict between my PC and Nucleus server. Can I delete my account and start over? What do you suggest?
Describe your network setup
Cable to PC and Nucleus on the same network. Wireless to Cambridge EVO 150.
Thanks for reaching out. I am looking over your account diagnostics and I do not see your Nucleus showing up on our end. Are you able to connect to the Nucleus Web UI properly? Can you share a screenshot of what you see on the WebUI if so? If you press “Select a different Roon Server” button from your screenshot, does the Nucleus show there?
We’re unfortunately not seeing any Nucleus tied to your account currently, can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
Based on your screenshot, it looks like your library could be hitting the ceiling for available RAM on the Nucleus - if you temporarily disable half of your library, and only run ~40k tracks, do you still have issues?
Hi @randell.gee50,
Thanks for sending those logs over. I took a look, but unfortunately they weren’t the ones we need. Could you please upload the RoonServer logs from your Nucleus instead?
Also, as @Carl suggested, please check the format of your drive. If it’s not in a supported format Roon may not be able to use it properly. Let us know what you find and we’ll go from there.
Please note that reformatting a drive will clear it of any content - so I’d make a copy of or move your files to safe location before formatting the drive. Formatting to exFat will likely be the best longterm move.
Using a Windows machine, open File Explorer and navigate to \NUCLEUSONE\Data and use Guest as the username and password. You should then see the RoonServer folder.
Using a Mac, open Finder and navigate to smb://NUCLEUSONE/Data and use Guest as the username and password. You should then see the RoonServer folder.
Thanks for confirming. We generally don’t recommend using NTFS with Roon, as it can cause compatibility issues especially on Nucleus devices. If possible, we suggest temporarily moving your files off the drive, reformatting it to exFAT, and then adding your content back. exFAT is much more reliable and better supported across different platforms Roon interacts with.
Let us know if you need help with the reformatting process or finding a temporary storage solution.
I’m sorry for the confusion but just searching won’t show you the files you need. You need to type \\NUCLEUSONE\Data into the address bar in File Explorer. You can see the address bar with the red box around it in the picture below.
