Hi, I’m experiencing the same issue as described in the linked thread—static when playing DSD files if device volume is set below 100. PCM playback is unaffected.
Since that discussion is closed, I wanted to report that this is still happening on my setup.
Has there been any further insight or fixes on this? Let me know if you need any details from my system. Thanks!
The solution for you is the same as the solution in the thread you linked: Do not use the volume control as it breaks DSD (DoP).

Welcome to the forum! This is correct behavior, DSD requires fixed volume to work properly. What device are you seeing this on, is it a USB device? When you play DSD, does the volume control mode switch to Fixed automatically? It’s been some time since I’ve used a DSD DAC, but you may want to try DSP volume control in Device Settings, that may help.
