If its only available to play to it by installing the APK for PlexAmp then its limited to Androids SRC of 48/24 and will resample. PlexAmp app can play via Airplay, can cast via Chromecast or play to any other Plex client on the network.
Overall I have to say I am very pleased with the performance of this streamer . The SSD was easy to install and I’m happy that I can play Apple hi res . What irony that Android devices can play hi res but you need an external dac with Apple devices .

Do you know how the Plex is used or intergrated with the DMP-A6?

It’s a customized/cut-down version of the Android Plex client (included as an embedded app in the firmware, like Samsung includes it’s own apps on phones), and it’s currently in ‘beta’ - They are still working on it …
That is good to know. Hopefully it is just around the corner.
I notice that the Firmware updates seem to be quite frequent.

Can you really hear the difference between 115 dnr of the 6 and 128 dnr of this unit? Nope.
But those objectivists on ASR will wet themselves over the new numbers.

To be clear, the A8 will not do SACD MC files over IIS to an AVR/Processor? I am just a little confused here even though reading on the A8 page, indicates multi-channel.

It is probably because like the A6 which thru the HDMI out, not the I2S output, does multi channel DSD to an AVR Processor.

I don’t know any AVR/AVP, which has an I2S input.
If you want to use DSD in multichannel over HDMI, then you’ve to use the Eversolo dmp-a6, which is unique in this area.
