Google TV 4k issues

Does anyone else find it “temperamental”?

After the faff of enabling developer mode to stop the damn thing timing out, it will still occasionally close Roon and stop playback?

Is it me being grumpy or do others find it unreliable?

Hi Simon,

Can you describe what you are doing? Are you using the TV as an audio output via chromecast, as a display endpoint via the display options?

In fact, support likes users to fill out the support request form, I’ve added it below:

Roon Core Machine

Include your operating system and machine info (Model, CPU, RAM).

Networking Gear & Setup Details

Your networking gear (model of routers/switches/etc), connection types (Wifi/Ethernet), and any firewalls, antivirus, or VPN software.

Connected Audio Devices

Specify what devices you’re using and their connection types, like USB/HDMI/Chromecast, etc.

Number of Tracks in Library

Tell us how large your music library is, eg. “30,000 tracks”.

Description of Issue

Tell us about the problem you’re having in as much detail as possible. Screenshots are always appreciated!

The Google TV is connected to an LG C2 TV in the living room and used as both endpoint and display.

Upstairs I have a ROCK server (Intel NUC i3-10110 with 8Gb), internet is a mix of cables and Orbi satellites (which with help from this board have been re-configured!), several wired and wireless other endpoints (WiiM, Chromecast Audio, OpticalRendu / Topping D90SE).

Google TV times out is, is often slow to respond, generally it’s a poor user experience.
