Description of Issue

I just got back from a trip and wanted to listen to music. No sound.

Roon Remote shows it’s playing.
I did the update that was suggested for all devices.
Nucleus rebooted. Remote is VERY slow to reconnect to any of my devices.

My nucleus is connected directly to my Anthem MRX 720 over HDMI

The HDMI is working for the video part of the signal because I do see the text that shows up on the HDMI port.

Manufacturer: Roon Labs
Model :           Nucleus
OS :                RoonOS 1.0 (build 258) production

etc…

So the HDMI is connecting to my Anthem. However, the audio signal isn’t getting through to the Anthem.

When I use Roon Remote it shows the track is playing just fine. The seconds tick by on a playing track. etc…

I’m trying to play content off my Synology and from Qobuz. No luck with either.

@support please help!

Well, a fourth reboot of the Nucleus helped. In all cases the HDMI connected except for the audio. Also, I’ve never had the Roon Remote take so long to connect after a reboot each time.

Hi, I don’t understand, did it work the fourth time, or, are you still having the issue?

I had to reboot four times to get the sound to work.

It’s happened before and it started to be more frequent after a recent update. The HDMI port is sending a video signal to my Anthem MRX720 but NOT the audio.

Roon remote shows the track playing (elapsed time is moving and the signal path shows a connection) and the HDMI shows the console screen on my projector output.
