I am a Roon user approx. 2,5 years now and I use it on a daily basis. Endpoints in the living room, kitchen and shed and one for my bluetooth headphone, all based on different Raspberry Pi’s (2 with Ropieee; thank you, Harry.) In my study/movie room I have a NAD receiver with BlueOS.
I love Roon from day one. The extra information of artists and albums, the seamless integration of my local music files and a streaming service, the integration with different hardware, the search capabilities, Roon Radio and lately the Daily Mixes.
But I have to admit I have a couple of wishes:
- The option to link Roon profiles to Qobuz (or Tidal) family member accounts: Multiple Streaming / Family Accounts and Roon Profiles (Tidal, Qobuz, ...) - #183 by Martin_Smith
- A second one is the ability to stream Roon outside my home to my phone: Roon mobile: remote streaming outside of the home [On Roadmap - Scheduled] - #642 by Allen_Nunez2. It is too difficult for me to have to search with Qobuz being so much used to Roon.
- And number three: Roon being able to use the capabilities of a hi-res dac on Android devices, for example the HiBy DAP I own. Perhaps in cooperation with UAPP? (Hi-Res on Android? UAPP integration? - #78 by GarbageGamer).
