Description of Issue

Windows client has massive memory usage, measured to be nearly 2Gb after 10 minutes of album- and track-hopping. Where the heck does it waste so much memory?
While this is not a issue per ce on my 32Gb mem-laptop this is still way, way too much. Any ideas?

Hi @Tero_Salminen,

Thank you for your report and for your patience.

If you temporarily disable the extensions, do you experience any memory spikes?

We’re investigating Server diagnostics, but diagnostics from your Windows 11 machine have failed to reach our server so far. Barring a networking issue, these logs should automatically upload when you next open Roon on the Windows machine and test without the extensions.

We’ll follow up once we have a chance to review logs in more detail. Thank you!

Hi

Since the report all apps and server are updated to latest versions, no change on behavior tho.

I just did a test with my two extensions enabled, memory usage was as follows:
Start 886Mb
5 min 1272Mb

I then disabled all extensions, closed Roon and started it, memory usage was as follows:
Start 760Mb
5 min 1270Mb

So no difference, I enabled my two extension back.

I also sent you my server-logs through your uploader.

I have not heard anything from this, id there any progress?

After some struggle updated to 2.0.1353 but memory-usage is still huge:

Upgrade-struggle is HERE.
