I'm having trouble with my Nucleus hardware

· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices

Describe the issue

When connected to a DAC via USB cable, a distinct hummin and hissing noise is constantly audible

What DAC? And, are they connected to the same power outlet, and phased correctly?
I also assume you have tried a perfectly functional standard USB cable?

Hello @Hans-Jochen_Student,

Thank you for reaching out and for the details so far.

To better understand the cause of the humming or hissing noise, we’ll need a bit more information about your setup. Could you please let us know:

  • The make and model of the DAC you are connecting to the Nucleus One
  • Whether the Nucleus and DAC are powered from the same electrical outlet or power strip
  • If the noise is present immediately after boot, or only during playback
  • Whether you’ve tried a different USB cable and, if possible, a different USB port on the Nucleus
  • If the noise is also present when using another input on the DAC (for example, optical or coaxial)

This information will help determine whether we’re looking at a grounding, power, or device-specific interaction.

Looking forward to your update.
