I'm having trouble with my Nucleus hardware · Other
Select the option that fits best · The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices
Describe the issue When connected to a DAC via USB cable, a distinct hummin and hissing noise is constantly audible
What DAC? And, are they connected to the same power outlet, and phased correctly?
I also assume you have tried a perfectly functional standard USB cable?

Hello @Hans-Jochen_Student ,
Thank you for reaching out and for the details so far.
To better understand the cause of the humming or hissing noise, we’ll need a bit more information about your setup. Could you please let us know:
The make and model of the DAC you are connecting to the Nucleus One
Whether the Nucleus and DAC are powered from the same electrical outlet or power strip
If the noise is present immediately after boot , or only during playback
Whether you’ve tried a different USB cable and, if possible, a different USB port on the Nucleus
If the noise is also present when using another input on the DAC (for example, optical or coaxial)
This information will help determine whether we’re looking at a grounding, power, or device-specific interaction.
Looking forward to your update.
