Description of Issue

I just received a 432 Evo Aeon music server. I have been unable to connect with the core from my ipad. Both the ipad and the Evo are connected to the network and the server is turned on. When I click on Roon it keeps looking for the core but doesn’t find it. I have had a demo Evo that worked fine in the past, but this new one has not been able to connect with my ipad. I have tried putting in the name of the host (http://432evo) and that hasn’t worked. I also tried the Lan IP and that didn’t work. Please help. This is very frustrating for the end user.

@Jim_Curell, I don’t have an Evo, but typically where third parties create an embedded Roon Core capability in their server, there is a configuration page on the server to activate the Roon Core. Does the Evo have a configuration page or setting? Also, Roon has tighter requirements for between the build versions of the Core and the Remotes. You may need to update the Core before your Remotes can connect to it. The current version of the Core and Remotes is Build 1259.

I had a quick look at the specification page for the EVO 432, it looks like it can run Roon Core or Logitech Media Server … my guess is it needs configuring via it’s web interface…

Hey @Jim_Curell,

Ben with the support team here, I wanted to check in on this thread to see if the above comments from @Robert_F and @Carl were helpful?

I’ll be on standby for a status update. :+1:
