Buy an rme babyface. It’s an xlr to usb digitized that interfaces with daw software. Run xlr from your DAC, not your amp. You can record your music directly from your dac to the babyface/daw software. This solution will run about $1500US.

Or buy a simple audio interface musicians use, e.g., VOLT1, at around £/$/€ 100.
As the community members have correctly pointed out, Roon is designed exclusively as a high-fidelity music playback and library management platform. It does not have any built-in capabilities to record audio from an amplifier, DAC, or any other external source.
Since this is a functional limitation of the software rather than a technical issue or bug, I am going to go ahead and close this official support thread.
If you would like to continue discussing the best hardware and software combinations for recording your specific setup, you can post the thread in the Audio Gear Talk section of our community forum, where you can get more recommendations from fellow audiophiles.
