By applying DSP to reduce noise, meaning there’s a change in data structure in the file. This kind of processing cannot achieve bit perfect.

The purpose of reducing noise and improve the efficiency of FLAC compression should be done at the source of the recording. My take is to avoid any kind of processing. FLAC compression at a average ratio of 1.7x is good enough.

I’m finding this stream stops periodically. Anyone else notice this? Other radio stations are fine.

Yes, it is norm that Roon will stop streaming altogether if the stream is unstable. This was raised sometimes ago but no available fix yet. In other software such as JRiver, despite unstable stream, it will attempt to re-connect and play. In case of Roon, just a 1 to 2 seconds of stream dropouts will cause Roon to stop playing altogether.

For Roon I can’t hardly stream some continuous background music via internet radio and this really sucks!

I actually can’t get this to work, I have had a google but can’t find the 192 link, the ones included here don’t work. Does anyone have a working address for 192? Thanks.

Are you all able to hear any difference between the 192 and 96 stream? I sure can’t and yet 192 uses 3x bandwidth. I’m pretty sure they are both upsampled as much of the content they play was never produced beyond 44/16.

I am pretty sure JBRadio2 uppsample, and also seem to add some extra DSP (wider soundstage). Personally I would prefer original sample rate and bit perfect.
