Ah OK I can see them all now⦠the difference between all these adjustments and Resolveās are quite profound. He doesnāt seem to see any reason to pull down the 2900Khz band at all, whereas all these others do quite a lot - the result is almost a phase shift in tone, a thickening of vocals and lack of air. Resolveās EQ is thinner by comparison bit far more air - but sound more real?
I try check this new feature in Roon Arc and Samsung Buds2, Sony WH-1000XM5, Bowers & Wilkins PI5. I feel a reduction in volume and a reduction in bass. Should I turn off the equalizer after turning on the Headphones EQ settings ?

The OPRA EQ (desktop Windows 11 + iPhone 15 Pro) settings that I have donāt show up in ARC (iPhone 15 Pro). Nothing
As far as I understood, the settings done on PC/Tablet for Roon Zone pre-sets are for the Roon Remote app, or, other Roon endpoints, not ARC. You need to setup ARC in ARC in the Headphone EQ.

You only want one EQ in the chain, the Sony (or whatever) or Muse / OPRA.
For BT headphones Iād just use the EQ in the headphone app and save OPRA for wired equipment.
Using presets for your specific phones will reduce bass if itās too high for the Harman curve that is being used as the baseline. It will bring it down to its recommended levels as well as adjust other areas where the heaphones fall out this curve preference. The Harman curve doesnāt appeal to everyone so itās horses for courses . To prevent audio clipping when DSP is applied as some frequencies will get boosts the overall digital level is lowered to prevent this, thus giving it more headroom before it reaches peak 0dbfs.
If you have other eq in play via your headphones own DSP then use that or just use OPRA but not both. Use what pleases you the most. Not all like headphone eq at all.
Not sure if youāre asking for separate left/right EQ with the new Headphone EQ (OPRA) or whether MUSE supports left/right EQ.
For MUSE, you first create a Procedural EQ, then create 2 separate Parametric EQs inside that Procedural EQ. You restrict one of those inner Parametric EQs to be left-only and another to be right-only.
Iāve managed to apply separate left/right EQ this way (even on top of my headphone-specific Parametric EQ) to apply audiogram compensation.
Not sure if itās already been requested, or if itās possible⦠but my IEMs werenāt listed under their brand. Is there a way to add them to a future OPRA EQ āwishlistā? Mine are Oriveti O400ā¦
You might need to send your IEMs to one of the people doing the testing, they include professionals doing this work in their spare time.
They donāt have access to all IEMs on the market.
Have a look at the autoeq website for contract information or Reddit in the case of contacting oratory1990, who is my personal preferred source of measurements.
Iāve had quick look at what Orivetiās have been measured. Jaytiss has measured both the OD100 and OD200, so they might be your best bet in terms of asking about the O400.
ToneDeafMonk has also measured some Orivetiās.
Measurements only transfrer over to OPRA if theyāre added to AutoEq, as far as I know.
They both hang out on various headphone forums, e.g.
Thanks @SukieInTheGraveyard and @Grasshopper! To confirm my understanding, essentially I have to EITHER send my O400 IEMs to someone who can measure them⦠OR, rely on someone who has provided prior Oriveti measurement, in hope that they have a pair of O400 IEMs that they could measure and submit to AutoEq
