iOS App crashing when searching for a specific artist [Ticket Open]

Here you go, @eric https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1G0Ok8ao9OFcOJMCwzQkXWwvIFT5XLpGH?usp=sharing

All the results from the search screen, 1 to 4.

Thanks for the follow up @Chris_Steinhauser and @Afullmark, very appreciated!

Chris, can you please also include screenshots of the ā€œalbumsā€, ā€œtracksā€, and ā€œcompositionsā€ from the search results? Thanks!

Afullmark, I downloaded your screenshots and have attached them to your ticket for review.

This is also happening to me as well. Searching for ā€œknock knockā€ crashes the ios app, and canā€™t recover from it crashing on startup without deleting the app.

Weā€™ve not heard back from @eric as to if a fix can be expected in the next iOS or server release.

All ā€” Please be advised.

While I canā€™t make promises about this for the next release, please rest assured that the issue is on the teamā€™s radar and they will get to it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and patience here!

Thanks eric

Thanks for that update.

All ā€” Just wanted to check in and see how things are performing with the release of Roon 1.5. Looking forward to hearing your feedback/observations!

-Eric

@Eric I re-installed roon server on the Mac and updated my iOS app but it still crashes

Hi @Chris_Steinhauser ----- Thank you for the report and sharing the feedback after the update to 1.5. Sorry to hear that the issue has persisted.

I have placed a feedback request with the tech team to see what may have caused the issue to persist here. Once I have an updated I will be sure to follow back up. Your patience during this process is very appreciated!

@eric I still have exactly the same issue; all with the new iOS and mac update installed.

Thank you for touching base with me @Afullmark and confirming that you are still seeing the same behavior here as well. Sorry for the troubles.

I am still waiting to hear back from the team in regard to this issue and as soon as they provide me with the requested updated I will be certain to follow up in this thread asap.

Hi @eric

Just installed iOS 1.5.00323 (today), and I do not seem to have the issue anymore, but, however, a new issue has arisen. I wasnā€™t sure to just post this as a new issue or whether you could just log it for me, but now auto-complete searches do not work after the first attempt (the first search will autofill results as you type, but the next search you do you have to hit the search button and there is no dynamic autofill.

Hi @Afullmark ---- Thank you for sharing the feedback after taking the update, the follow up is appreciated.

I saw you had posted another thread here noting the above observation. In the interest of keeping all information in single place, letā€™s proceed with addressing this behavior in the other thread mentioned just above.

Thanks!
