Describe the issue

I'm not getting MAX quality (i.e. MQA, FLAC) to my Dragonfly Cobalt DAC when connecting it out of my macbookpro via USB.
I'm using the Dragontail USB-C to USB adapter.

However, If I use the Tidal App, I do get the purple and light blue colors on the DAC, this proves that something is going on inside the Roon app on my laptop.
I've checked all the forums and I believe I have the right settings within the roon App, but nothing seems to work (see screenshots attached).

It seems that the roon app is downgrading the quality for everything from TIDAL.
I’m playing a FLAC 96kHZ 24 bit track, and in the signal path appears as 44.1/16. How do I fix it?

Take a look here, very relevant I think.

I don’t understand the post. Something’s up within the roon app.

I’m seeing no issues.

  1. install yesterday’s update
  2. Ensure that in Roon > Settings > Services > Tidal > Streaming Quality you have configured it as „Max“ (not „High“)
