Hello - I just traded in a Nucleus + for a Nucleus Titan. Just like the Nucleus +, the Titan has HDMI audio ports, however the Titan will not show up on the Audio Devices list and my A/V receiver will not connect with the Titan. This is an issue that did not occur with the previous Nucleus +.
2. Nucleus Titan freezes while downloading music from an external HDD. I have attempted to restart both the Titan and HDD. I have 15,000 albums on the HDD. The Titan is also incorrectly showing that I have 30,000 albums. Again, I have restarted both the HDD and the Titan hoping for a reset.
3. The Nucleus Titan randomly drops out of the network. This generally happens when the unit has not been used for days or even hours. This issue did not occur on my previous Nucleus +.
Please advise ASAP as I need to get the new Titan online for a presentation.
Thank you,
Richard
Describe your network setup
Cox All-In-One Gateway Router/Modem, all on Ethernet. Desktop computer wired as well. Switches are unmanaged. Gigabit Network.
Thanks for taking the time to write in about issues with your new Titan. Our team isn’t able to connect to the device currently, could you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?
The screenshot you posted is what you’d typically see on a healthy Nucleus, nothing concerning there. Are you able to access the webUI of the device?
If so, a screenshot of that may be useful as well.
Are you able to temporarily set up a direct ethernet connection from the Titan to your primary router?
Our team doesn’t work weekends unfortunately, but let me know when you’re able to get a set of Roon Server logs uploaded and our team will take a closer look. Thanks for your patience in the meantime!
Benjamin - I am unable to set up a direct ethernet connection from the Titan to the primary router. That said, other users switching between the Nucleus + and the Titan are seeing an HDMI input on the Nucleus +. Also, when typing in the IP address it shows up on my system. Practically speaking, you can see it as well, including my music library. Re: 2nd issue - The HDD is plugged directly into the Titan via a 3.0 USB cable (blue USB socket). Roon is still doubling the number of albums/tracks in my library.
The HDMI port issue is separate from the other issues you’re experiencing.
Can you share a screenshot of your Roon Settings>Storage? When you restored a backup while setting up your Titan, did confirm the same file path directory to your original local library, or did you setup a new watched folder path? This should be an easy fix.
If you’re not able to temporarily get a direct connection setup, please take note of the date, time, and if applicable, track playing the next time you run into a Network issue with your Titan. Thanks!
Good morning, Richard. Our team has diagnosed the HDMI connectivity issue, and a fix is being staged for release today. We appreciate your patience during the wait and investigation. Your feedback was instrumental in discovering and correcting this regression. We’ll be back in touch with the next steps soon.
