No, i probably used wrong words. I was mening the updated version where the “issues” that ASR found+polarity and most importantly a fix so that the Khadas Tone 2Pro can be firmware updated via PC without using ST-Link.
I’m not sure what “ST-Link” is, but I’ve been able to successfully re-install the firmware from a PC using a normal USB A to C cable.
You can reinstall, but not upgrade without ST-LINK due to Guowa at Khadas. This issue is on both the first two batches. So you need to buy an ST-Link to upgrade yours to the new firmware that has the fixes for phase, 48khz issue etc…
The new batch has none of these issues and will be fully upgradeable through USB without ST-Link.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. I’m sending mine back. It apparently has been a broken product where the problem is laid upon the consumer.

The negative: Contact khadas about it. They can refund you etc. But honestly speaking, the “issues” are inaudible afaik and very minor. Only think that is a little problematic is that it cant be updated through USB. Not the first two batches.
The positive: Khadas Tone2 Pro is very popular now and the 3 preorder batch is afaik soon to be sold out. Its also really really good for 199usd. And every “issue” it has can be fixed for around 5 dollars by yourself! Its just to order an ST-Link, connect it to pc and Khadas and BOOOM, everything is as good as the new batch since the issue is NOT hardware, but firmware. As soon your Tone 2 pro gets the new firmware through an ST-Link (that its really really cheap), it will be upgraded through USB in future🙂
I have preordered it and mine(3 batch) will ship out 13 april i think. The features and performance for 199 is unbelievable! 
And even if the Tone 2 Pro had some “issues”, Khadas has been very helpful and transparent about it! 
Fair enough. Looks reasonable/easy enough. I think I’ll regret sending it back anyway.

Have you ordered an ST-Link? I could not find this part or instructions on how to use it on the Khadas website. Please provide a few links if you have some handy.
I just ordered one through Amazon going by the screenshot shared here. Next step will be browsing through Audiosciencereview. We will figure it out.
However! I have not found any manual to actually upgrade it this way. There’s hardly anything to find about it apart from that one short mention at ASR.
I dont know what the process is, but heard its easy. Gouwa, the guy on Audio science review works for Khadas will tell you how. My Khadas T2P will ship on tuesday(if its not furter delayed) and that doesnt need an st link.
PS: Both of you guys should send emails to Khadas since i know they are compensating those who got the early batch with some stuff.

For one I see pinholes on the Tone2, so I assume we need some sort of pins as well.
