Listen Later 🕐 Feedback Thread

Does for me

FWIW, my Shazam’s save to a Spotify list, Soundiiz syncs it to Tidal and thus Roon. Obviously only works if you have Spotify and Soundiiz!

using everyday
that’s what a killer feature is

I haven’t gone through all the posts, but I assume someone has mentioned the bug where an album added to Listen Later frequently can’t be removed, and worse, it shows I can add it again. All these bugs should be an easy fix. Love the feature, looking forward to being able to use it as intended.

I’m not interested in “Listen Later”, I see absolutely no utility or value in it, though I see how people are getting excited by it. That aside, why does it need to effectively occupy 50% of my screen real estate? I’d like to disable it and regain that screen space for albums. Thanks for implementing this as soon as possible

Hey Mike doesn’t this option in Settings give you what you want?

Interesting. I can’t even imagine having to give this feature up after having used it for a few weeks. :man_shrugging:

100% agree with you, it’s the feature I didn’t know I needed and made so easy to use. It will be even better when they fix some of the bugs that made it into production.

I knew I needed it but was satisfied with my workarounds until it showed up.

Ha! Thats the fastest time ever for a fully fulfilled feature request

Thank you sir :+1:

I would be happy to claim the credit, but then some might expect mental fix the silly LL Library bugs as well.

I still have the albums I added on day 1 in my LL queue and then bought that day as they keep coming back every time I restart my Roon service. It’s like Groundhog Day

There are various LL fixes in Early Access. Would be cool if someone who is affected tests them (rather than again complaining after the fact that other people didn’t find the bugs  )

Same here.

PS: But the movie was great

I was in the beta and EA streams for a long time.
Shouting into the void was the closest thing I can say as my experience, so I left for the bug free world of production Roon
I have previously stated my thanks and appreciation for those that go through that thankless task

Glad to know some of these will be soon be fixed and I will get 30-60 seconds of my time back each day. I better start planning on what to do with it

I didn’t mean you specifically, and it’s obviously anyone’s choice, but it can’t hurt if anyone who uses the feature could try the fixes.

I know you didn’t specifically mean me (or just me at least)
Sadly DietPi as a server is a bit of a pain to move back and fourth between production and EA or I would probably do it for worthwhile features.

There have always been plenty of users in EA, sadly many active users have become disillusioned and gone back to Production. I count myself in that number.

I suspect some of us feel It’s a rather frustrating process, much as @Michael_Harris suggests. For example, the easily replicated bug which means you can’t remove an item from the LL played list after it has been added to your library still remains  Even more strangely, you can remove it via ARC but it still sits there in Roon.

This is odd…

I added an album to LL, played it, then added it to my library. As expected due to the bug, I was unable to delete this album from LL after adding it to my library. However, a few days later, that album disappeared from LL without any action on my part. Weird!

Looking forward to LL being fixed. :+1:

It’s also often frustrating to me. Software testing isn’t necessarily fun. As I said, it’s anybody’s choice, but if I experience a bug that is worth complaining loudly about, and am told that it is supposed to be fixed in EA, I damn well try it.

And you didn’t report it in Early Access ? Oh well.

FWIW, before I saw your thread I tried it out because I had a few minutes. I could quite easily reproduce it and reported it here. (And I don’t even really use the feature). It’s really annoying, I agree with that.

My recollection is that there were multiple reports, although not as thorough and detailed as yours. I guess this just returns to the earlier discussion in this thread - I’m in awe of the support you provide across the forum and your detailed bug reports. However, this level of dedication isn’t something I’m able to offer, particularly when the response is often absent or weak. Don’t want to end up OT again though.
