Lost control of audio device - Yamaha CD-S2100

I get the error ‘Lost control of audio device’ whenever I switch to a track that has a different bitrate. I’m running the Yamaha ASIO Steinberg driver. I’m streaming Qobuz 24/192 and 16/44.1 when this happens… These symptoms started when using my new Yamaha CD-S2100 USB DAC. I found the below post. This fixes my issues but does enabling up-sampling cause quality issues?

Change of samplerate on USB DAC is working fine, I suspect this is an issue with the ASIO driver you are using, and not relating Roon.

If a song changes to a different bitrate then the DAC disconnects from Roon. If I use Roon’s DSP to up-scale the bitrate to void the USB DAC detecting a bitrate change it works just fine. I agree that this is probably an ASIO driver issue, however, the Roon DSP / up-sampling fixed it. So… Here is my current question. Should I expect quality issues since Roon DSP is up-sampling ?
