No. There is no bug fix for D2 at this time.
But the D2 gets firmware 19 in time
Just downloaded firmware 19, everything now sounds very brittle, brighter than before… anyone else?

Are you referring to my post? I’m not liking the sound. Want to roll back to previous firmware, I was sent via email, but can’t open on my laptop, which app do I use to open the file? Anyone knows?

As the e-mail stated,
Please download (NOT open) the firmware file and put it on a freshly FAT32 formatted drive and plug it into the LUMIN when the LUMIN is on (shows a progress circle).
After that, turn off Check for Firmware Update in Lumin app.

Have you turned off all services you don’t need - Roon Ready, Lumin Streaming (AirPlay), Qobuz Connect, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect before you determine this sound is worse?

May I ask how would turning off the services impact the sound quality? I mean they are just different protocols where we stream the content and the sound quality should be impacted by the different encoding/decoding mechanisms these protocols use for the content we stream, right?
Do you mean at any point of time I should turn on only one service that I am going to use and turn off the rest and then keep switching if I want to use another service?
Also, I got the notification to update my U2 with firmware release to 19b and then to 19c but I don’t see any release notes for those to get an understanding what was changed. Can you please help.
Please switch off anything you have no plan to use or have no subscriptions for.

I can prepare a new firmware for old models but it will NOT have Qobuz Connect. It will have RAAT 1.1.44, which is security oriented and will not bring a functional difference to Roon usage.

Lumin models with Qobuz Connect / Tidal Connect now have a firmware 19.1 update with RAAT 1.1.44 for security. Update is available via Lumin app. If it does not prompt for update, set Check for Updates to Off, then On. If you are running Roon Only mode and registered with me for the firmware, you’d have already received the manual update via PM.
For old Lumin models S1 A1 T1 D1 D2 M1, the RAAT 1.1.44 firmware is available on request - again I emphasize it is not making a functional difference to Roon usage. For those who want to get it, please state your Lumin model.

I noticed in the firmware notes from Lumin that 19.1 supports “TIDAL new CDN (cloud server) and fixed TIDAL playback issues.” Is there some advantage that TIDAL ascribes to the new cloud server? Is it only when using TIDAL Connect?
