Hi, I’ve created M3U playlists and saved them into the specific folder of the tracks. The playlists are tested and working, Roon doesn’t see them. All settings are as explained in the manual. What can be the issue here?
Aspects of what you may be experiencing were recently discussed in this thread - and the links it contains.
Could be worth reading. Good luck!
Thx, but didn’t help.
I do not even see the playlist…all M3U format as it should be. All local files, all saved on the internal storage of my RoonCore (NUC with ROCK)…all files are available and playable…
Sounds like here lies your issue because:
Please read the last point and make sure your M3U isn’t an exact copy of the tracks in a directory or Roon will simply ignore it (what exactly seems to be the case for you currently). If this is your case, then just play the folder or album instead.
And the field in question for each line of each M3U file does definitely have the exact correct path?
In what way tested; in what way to they work?
@Sascha_Held this feature works just fine; I use it all the time - I recommend following some of the guidance in this thread:
@DDPS; thanks. Yes!
Specifically, when you write:
that Multics-style indicator of path has to be watertight.
I’m only pushing that point because, as @BlackJack says, it’s vital to get paths just right.
If you had Playlists working before, did nothing - especially to the location and disposition of your actual music files - and now they fail, then I’ll be wrong.
But looking again at your paths - perhaps by loading a playlist into a spreadsheet, to ensure that each line has the required (format for) LF/CR, for instance - I do feel that’s a good place to start.
I too learnt the hard way; again, do follow that thread’s links.
