What are you using as your Roon server?
I use Mac book air
And are you using the graphical Roon control app also on the Air or is the „Waiting for Roon Server“ happening on a different computer?
graphical Roon control app in my Mac book air
OK, I see. The issue may simply be that your Roon Server application is not running.
Try rebooting the Mac if you haven’t. If this does not help, try starting the RoonServer from its own app launcher, which is unfortunately a bit hidden: Open the Finder and go to Applications. Find the Roon launcher. Right-click it and click Show Package Contents in the context menu:
It will show the package contents and there is a Roon Server launcher in there:
After this, there should be a Roon Server icon in your Mac menu bar. Ensure that it is set to Launch on Startup:
Sorry, nothing shown when right click. I tried to reinstall the Roon but still doesn’t work
Can you post a screenshot showing exactly what you are trying to right-click on?
If you right-click the Roon icon in Applications it will definitely at least show the context menu of macOS for the launcher icon because this is what macOS does.
If this does not happen, then you are doing something else. As @Geoff_Coupe wrote, please post a screenshot of what you are seeing.
Do you have right-click enabled in your Mac settings? Can you right-click anything to get the shortcut menu, like any of the other icons in Applications? Are you using a mouse or the trackpad? You could try the secondary click with Control+Click.
Check this:
This is how it should look with the Applications displaying “as icons”:
it works finally, thanks!
Enjoy the music
