good,
this seems to be mostly a merging issue in my case. I’m overriding it currently by running the core on my mac mini.

Hi @stephen_kinnane and @Hilary_Alper,

Thanks for writing in and letting us know you were experiencing the known connection issue linked to build 1382.

I’ve split your replies off into its own thread for proper visibility, and to check in to see if you were still running into the same issue? I saw you mention you were having issues navigating to your servers database - perhaps the below work around will help:

You can use the IP address of the Merging device to access it like a NAS or network-shared location. You’ll need to use another desktop computer to access the network share location.

  1. Using a Windows machine, open File Explorer and navigate to \IP_address\Data, and use Guest as the username and password. You should then see the RoonServer folder.
  2. Using a Mac, open Finder and navigate to smb://IP_address/Data and use Guest as the username and password. You should then see the RoonServer folder.

where IP address is the local IP address for your Merging server on the network.

Once you’ve located the RoonServer location, then you can proceed from Step One in these instructions:

Let me know if this helps! :+1:

howdy i tried the above i can get to here…

but not to data…

i checked my network setting they seem open

cheers

steve

Maybe because you are not using a file browser but a web browser instead?

no i was using forward slash not back slash. all fixed thank you

so i got roon working with my computer…

but not woth my phone s22 ultra

ive tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling

What happens if you tap “Select a different Roon Server”?

yep all solved cheers roon. ps. no response from merging yet

just got email from merging.

Hello Stephen,

Have you tried the procedure you sent us? If you need help following this guide, please contact Roon support as stated at the end of the article. It seems to be a Roon problem, not a Nadac one.

Thank you and kind regards,
Romain

not any help or willing to help. bit upsetting from such an expensive unit. :frowning:

The Roon OS on the Merging is from Aug. 2020, current Roon OS is from Aug. 2023.
IDK, are they just unwilling or unable to provide their customers with the updates Roon Labs already created?

not sure but its not nice

Wow! That’s terrible service! :astonished:

ive lost my roon playlists. i made a backup of my bits file anyway i can retrieve my playlists. tidals are still there

I doubt that the bits file has anything to do with the playlists. But if you have a database backup, you can restore that and it will probably restore the playlists.

What do you expect when spending 20K for a streamer
