I had Swallow The Sun as a Roon recommended pick from a Daily Mix a week or so back.
I added it but not had time to play it yet.
I have mostly given up on the daily mixes for the moment due to repetition of bandās with the same listening mix (or close enough) with different lead bandās listed.
Hopefully they continue to improve and I do have about 30 saved so clearly not all bad.
STS have become one of my favorite bands, so if you havenāt tried anything their 2019 when a shadow is Forced into the light is very good.
Their huge 2015 album Songs from the North 1, 2 and 3 is incredible and thanks to @ds_2 for putting me onto it.
Both gentle and harsh itās an incredible breadth of work, and surprised itās not in your vinyl collection
Edit: just found this triple CD and DVD version on Amazon and just checked it out
New Swallow The Sun album will be released in November 19th. They release instrumental (strings) versions of tracks from that album one every week and after that first single will be released.
Here is second of those instrumental tracks.
From 1991⦠progressive/experimental death metal with jazz influences. One of those important early progressive metal albums, other that comes to mind is Cynic: Focus.
Missed this album because it is not available in Qobuz, so one more Bandcamp purchase
Carsten nice to have you visit us.
Bed time for me now, hope to see you around and posting some more.
Have a good evening
Excellent choice!
Love this band, managed to see them live in Jacksonville a few years back, 2017 I think.
Already looking forward to this, but November still seems a long time away.
Hopefully my STS live in Helsinki album and DVD will be delivered by the time I get home Friday night.
Currently enjoying a slice of dystopian sci-fi progressive thrash from the Netherlandsā¦
Cryptosis - Bionic Swarm
Good album, listened it couple times when it was released and need to check it again soon!
Hi @Michael_Harris, thanks a lot for your comment.
Hi @AceRimmer, must have been a sensational experience, I wish I have seen them Live!
so true
Good Morning. I have been waiting for this release. Since I canāt yet add the full album to Roon via Tidal or Qobuz, I have to use Spotify. Sounds killer!
Noticed same thing, just wonāt sync available tracks from Qobuz to Roon. Luckily Qobuz allows them to be played.
Also other good albums have been released today, like death metal from Ćnigmatum and Diskord.
Also interesting thrash/hardcore from Rot Away
Thanks. Iāll check it out.
