Describe the issue

Music just stopped and won't restart. Also individual tracks are blocked. I am not tech savvy and don't even know if I answered your questions correctly.

Describe your network setup

This is ridiculous. I'm apparently not the only one having problems.

Hi @John_Hamilton1,

Thank you for your post and we’re sorry to hear you’re having issues with playback.

We’ve requested diagnostic logging from your server, but the machine appears to be offline. Next time you open Roon logs should automatically upload to our team. We’ll be able to pinpoint the playback error precisely once we have logs, but for now, these questions might help isolate what’s wrong:

  1. Does this occur with Qobuz tracks only, or are other streaming service tracks and local library tracks also affected? We ask because Qobuz recently resolved a problem with their API that was affecting playback in Roon. See here:
Roon won't play certain tracks from Qobuz, gets stuck on progress bar (ref#K9XYO0) [Resolved - Qobuz backend issue fixed]

  2. Does this occur with every Zone in Roon Settings → Audio? Try playing to System Output on the Mac itself.

We’ll watch for your reply. Thank you!

Some science fiction writer (Asimov, Heinlein?) said that any 500 year advanced community would appear as magic to observers. As this audiophile (me) began with a Fisher tube integrated amp, Wharfedale 10” two way speakers, Benjamin Miracord changer, and Pickering cartridge, Roon and Qobuz are magical. Everything began working again the day after my post. Go figure.

Thanks,

John Hamilton
