Version 5.7 is publicly released.
I highly recommend downloading the image through the link att the bottom of this page:
https://docs.sotm-audio.com/doku.php?id=en:eunhasu:burn_sdcard_image
The online update failed three times repeatedly for me, but writing the image file using Balena Etcher worked immediately.
Startup is faster, response seems a bit better in the GUI while running underclocked.
Changes indicate that they removed the option to disable IP v6 in the GUI but this remains for me, and is of course used to disable unused IP protocols.
Hi Mikael,
I have done the upgrade on my SMS-200 to version 5.7 (from the previous one). Since then, Roon does not see the SMS-200, even though Eunhasu correctly identifies the DAC.
Something must have been modified in the network settings.
Have tried many changes and/or reboots, to no avail.
Any idea?
You need to activate the desired function also. When looking at the Eunhasu home screen, Roon Ready (top left) should display a green text below “Active”. If not, press the “start”-button on the function.
Yes, of course, Mikael, Roon is activated in Eunhasu. But, in Roon, no SMS-200.
On my setup, Roon recognizes the SOtM only when the connected DAC is powered.
Yes, agreed. But since @Jean-Pierre_Lapalme stated it was visible in the Eunhasu gui i assume it was both powered and identified.
Jean-Pierre, please try and disable Roon Ready momentarily, by selecting another function and then going back to Roon Ready?
Thanks to both of you for helping me.
Yes, Stefan, as Mikael says, the Dac is on and identified as ‘FOSTEX USB AUDIO HP-A8’.
And yes, Mikael, I have tried (a couple of times) to disable Roon ready and go to MPD & DLNA and back.
I have also tried to unplug Ethernet from the SMS-200 and power it down, wait, power it up, etc.
So far, nothing has worked. Pity I did not keep another microSD with the older version of Eunhasu.
Assuming, you‘ve choosed the correct USB port from the streamer to connect the DAC, I would give a try to re-burn the image.
@Jean-Pierre_Lapalme,
Sorry for the stupid question, but was something connected to the USB-port of the sMS-200 when updating the firmware? That could give some issues. In that case: reflash your SD-card and then that should be solved, I hope.
Good luck, Frank.
Nothing was connected to the USB port, except the DAC, when I did the upgrade to 0.5.7.
I’m afraid I will have to try to return theMicroSD card, because I cannot re-install firmware 0.5.7 over the existing one.
thanks to all for your help.
Jean-Pierre
Just to make sure: the DAC is connected to Audio-USB port and is not seem by Roon?
Yes, indeed.
Hi.
Same issue here.
Just get the older firmware, it’s available from the page i linked to in the first post. Very strange though?!
If you conclude that it works with 5.6.2 i would drop SOtM/May a mail. Please make sure you always Clean the microSD before writing an image to them, by low level formatting/cleaning.
Edit: I’m not sure @May_Park watches this fora, but we can give it a try!
@Jean-Pierre_Lapalme
What was the setting of the “CPU frequency” when you did your upgrade? Was it on “Performance” or have you lowered the clock-frequency of the CPU.
I think one should put first set the CPU clock to its max. speed (“Performance”) before doing an upgrade.
Good luck, Frank.
what kernel version you are currently running on?is it 6.2.15-215? Also, please check your unit is set to DHCP, if not, please change it to DHCP and try it out. Please share with me the system config page information and DAC information page through Eunhasu web gui.
