Another tip:
Before writing the image, use Diskpart (in Windows) and select the SD-card (make sure!!!) and then perform “Clean”.
It might take twice to succeed though.
Be careful with this! You need to make sure you are “cleaning” the correct disk, or you might render your computer unusable!!!
