With the perf changes we have been working on you might find random areas that’ll feel faster or smoother. Some of this will be because we are working hard to reduce memory usage and pressure which means that resources are freed and released back for other areas of Roon more quickly.
I don’t know if you’re old enough to remember Easter Eggs in software. For instance, in Quark Xpress, a page layout program, you could hold Command-Shift-Delete, and a little 8-bit alien would walk noisily out and zap whatever you were deleting, complete with lazer noises. So fun in front of clients.
Is that what you mean by “Other”? Cuz if so, I’m VERY excited!
@Andrew_Webb I was so taken by your easter egg comment that I created a separate post for people to chime in with things they have found in Roon. Hope you don’t mind me sniping your idea.
Yup I used to use Quark and that was a cool Easter Egg.
Finally scrolling through albums (on my ipad remote) without stutter.

Well done Roon team!
What a FANTASTIC UPDATE. SO FAST!!
Very happy with the release. Congratulations to Team Roon!
Wow indeed!
I was a little worried about this update as my sonicTransporter is an older version, but it just works great. Roon is now super snappy and I love the ‘Random’ filter.
Thanks for all the trouble shooting Roon-Team!
Does anyone else experience jittery scrolling on their iPhone with Roon app? Seems worse now.
Phone is iPhone 15pro.
IOS 26.3.1
The scrolling motion is a little nauseating.
In contrast ARC is smooth as silk.
This has been a known problem forever with 120 Hz screen refresh phones, and for me it’s not better or worse than it always was.
I usually use ARC on my phone, and the Roon desktop app during office hours.
I didn’t remember the Roon app scrolling being this bad, All good.
Still hoping ![]()
Definitely not just classical fans. This is also one of my most wanted features and I hardly listen to classical.
I’ve noticed that the consumption of RAM memory now is far less than previous versions as well, which is great, thank you for this great Roon release, the fans of my iMacPro are very quite now
. Thank you!! ![]()
It’s never easy for an organization that has a big, working codebase to bite the bullet and rearchitect the danged thing to improve performance.
I’m awfully glad they did. The responsiveness of the new release is better by leaps and bounds.
You can browse random albums in ARC
Where? I’m not seeing it.
Wow! It’s like Roon reached out and fixed all of our problematic networks in one swoop!
Have you updated Roon ARC in App Store/Google
