Nucleus One - Mac Connection

My Mac mini will suddenly not connect to my Nucleus One.

All other devices connect to Nucleus One and work great.

My first Nucleus server was my Mac. It is still there and shows “ready.”

Nucleus simply says connecting and sticks there.

Did you update to macOS 15 Sequoia?

Yes. I just replaced my old Mac mini. But it was working fine until it lost connection.

Try this:

macOS 15 messed up security settings for quite many people. Lots of threads about this on the forum. Try this, it usually helps: Navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

Thanks for writing in! @Suedkiez is steering you in the right direction, we’ve seen some handshake issues arise with the new Sequoia update and our team is still investigating more thoroughly.

In addition to checking the local network settings on the Mac, I’d also take a look at the Mac firewall settings to make sure Roon is still listed as proper exceptions to your firewall. You can see more about that here:
