The Nucleus Titan powers on correctly. I have tested the ROON app on two different iPads and on my Mac Studio, and it works. However, when I select a song from Tidal, Qobuz, or from the Titan’s memory, it does not play. I have tried it with a T+A 3100 preamplifier and Dynaudio 50 speakers; the app appears as if it’s playing, but the song doesn’t even load for playback.
I understand that the fact that the volume can be controlled from Roon but music does not play suggests that:
• The Titan detects the T+A, but there is an issue with audio transmission.
• The brief clicking sound indicates some communication, but playback does not start properly.
Additional Checks
1. I checked Audio Settings in Roon
• Go to “Settings” > “Audio” in the Roon app and verify:
• That the T+A is enabled and selected as the correct output.
2. Test with Another Audio Output: Dynaudio Focus 50… It doesn’t work
• I tried music through the iPad’s internal speakersand the Dynaudio speakers on the network to see if the issue is specific to the T+A. It is not working
3. I already Verifyied Network Configuration, If the Nucleus Titan and the T+A are on separate networks (e.g., one is wired and the other is on Wi-Fi), there may be communication issues.
4. I tried to play a Local File stored on the Titan instead of Tidal or Qobuz and didn’t play
Hi @Luis_Miguel_Chong_Ch,
Thanks for reaching out to us to ask about this issue. The way to start troubleshooting this issue would be to take a look at your Nucleus logs. Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once you do we’ll take a look at them and get back to you with next steps.
It looks like your Nucleus was able to respond to a diagnostics request and we were able to get logs from the system for review. Looking over the log, it looks like there are some network issues at play and the Nucleus doesn’t seem to be getting an IPv4 address. As the initial troubleshooting step, can you try to reboot your router, any switches/intermediary devices and then the Nucleus (in that order) to see if this helps clear things up? Let us know, thanks!
I have already reset 3 routers, 3 switches, the T+A SDV 3100 HV, and the Dynaudio Focus 50
speakers.
After resetting all of them I proceeded to reset the Nucleus Titan.
First Trial
It went crazy—I have uploaded some videos of the app screen, and it looked like it was playing to HDMI A Nucleus, the T+A preamplifier, and the Dynaudio Focus 50
speakers simultaneousl.
However, there was no sound out of any.
Second Trial
I reset the Nucleus Titan again.
This time, I first connected it to the Dynaudio Focus 50 speakers. It worked
• I selected pause.
• I switched to T+A SDV 3100.
• It also worked
Then, I selected a different album and tried to play it on the T+A SDV 3100—it didn’t work.
I sent you a series de of video and the final 2 video and picturein the previous upload link.
n the app, it appears as if it was playing in the app screen and in the T+A SDV 3100 panel screen,
but there is no sound.
All these operations were very common to perform until 15 days ago—I could switch between sources
(local memory, Tidal, Qobuz) and change albums without any issues.
I have reinstalled the apps on two different iPads, but without success.
The Nucleus operation became completely unstable starting last Sunday.
RoonServer diagnostics are entirely full of network discovery dropoffs and announcements, suggesting the possibility that multicast traffic and/or other network traffic is taking unexpected pathways.
How is this topology actually arranged, relative to RoonServer? Please describe how the Nucleus connects to the internet and to the T+A and Dynaudio Zones in question.
Please also share the make/model of the routers and any managed switches in this setup.
Roon relies on a combination of dynamically assigned TCP and UDP protocols to discover devices and distribute audio across the network. What we see is RoonServer receiving the same announcement again and again thousands of times per second - this usually occurs when multicast traffic is bouncing around the network out of order.
Thank you for such a thorough and diligent response; it’s enormously helpful in expediting this investigation.
Which router is serving the Nucleus Titan? Which router is serving the Dynaudio? The most expedient test is to connect these two devices via hardware to the same router - you can perform the same test with the T+A endpoint.
The most recent diagnostic logs show RAATServer announcements form the Mac received by the Nucleus at unusually frequent intervals. This is sometimes evidence of a multicast issue - if we can simplify the network chain and rebuild, we should be able to isolate the pathway between these components that aren’t handling Roon’s traffic as expected.
A) NUCLEUS TITAN AND T+A are connected to the same Linbksys unmanaged switch SE3008 - 8 PORT GIGABIT 1Gb (PLS CHECK DIAGRAM I ALREADY SENT TO YOU
B) LINKSYS UNMANAGED SWITCH 3008 IS CONNECTED TO TP-LINK unmanaged switch TL-SX1008 8 port 10Gb
C). TP-LINK unmanaged switch TL-SX1008 8 port 10Gb is connected to Telmex (ISP provider) Nokia Modem G-24256-A

Look at the Diagram
I tried this time with the Apple McStudio App.
a) I play some music from Cats. It worked fine.
b) When I selected a new Albium, Starlight Express a clicking noise was heard in the speakers and it stopped working
T+A SDV 3100 Pre Amplifier
a) I reset the Nucleus Titan
b) I tried this time with the iPad App
c) I selected Starlight Express Album
d) I selected play now.
E). Again a clicking noise was heard in the Speakers and it stopped working
It has been very frustrating to operate the Nucleus Titan in the past week. It is not working. I haven’t made any changes to the network in over six months. Until two weeks ago, it was working fine, and now I can’t use it. I don’t know what else to do.
Do you have access to the connection diagram I sent you in the previous communication? Are you trying to access the Nucleus Titan remotely? Do you need me to send the new logs?
Should I sent you again the written diagram of the home network?
Test 001
I reset the Nucleus Titan
I selected Dynaudio Focus 50
I selected Qobuz
I selected Dynaudio Focus 50 Speakers
It played well

Works fine
Again clicking noise was heard out of the speakers
Nucleus app frozen
Thanks for all the testing! You can reinstall the RoonOS via the webUI of the Nucleus - here’s how you can access the webUI and perform the reinstall:
Beyond that, I’d still consider simplifying your network setup even more, and get a direct ethernet connection from your Nucleus to your primary router - bypassing all network gear in between. Do the same with your issue preamp and let us know if there are any changes.
