Now I’m confused. The other thread is full with Google Pixel users who complain about the problem for months or even years.
Does this new separate thread and the post by @connor in that thread mean that in the near future only the color saturation problem on Exynos chips will be fixed and Google Pixel users have to wait even longer!?
I have no idea, but the other thread isn’t new but from 2023. It started about Samsung and then people posted „Pixel too!“. No idea if it’s the same cause and what the post means for the resolution.
The original report related to changes introduced by the OneUI 6.0 layer on Exynos-based Samsung phones. The chip is not the causal mechanism; Samsung just happened to introduce certain subtle UI changes first to phones in those markets. Theoretically, this can occur on any Android 14+ phone, but the actual manifestation of the bug varies widely by the UI layer and custom user settings.
Either way, a fix is in the pipeline that will resolve the problem across Android phones.
