Do you mean sorting by the album and artist columns in the playlist?
Make sure that all devices (core and control devices) are on the latest Roon versions (keeping in mind that mobile remotes get their updates through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
That’s it, the sorting. It works fine on my iPad. For some reason also my iPad and mini were having problems connecting to each other, ipad having trouble finding Roon core on the mini, then once it did, losing it again. I’ve never had that issue before.
Not sure what is going on but you are not alone:
The sorting works for me on iPad (16.3.1) and macOS (Ventura 13.2.1) but I am on the earlyaccess update branch, so a bit newer Roon versions than you may have.
I’d still make sure that your versions are all up to date on all devices. This is what you should have:

Checked this, everything up to date and voila, sorting now works. Thank you.

Software up to date on Mac Mini and Roon. Artist and album sort in playlists doesn’t work again.
Should now be fixed by the latest update:
