Thanks for working on this. The AAC stream metadata works, but the MP3 stream doesn’t. I get an error message ‘Request Error ETIMEDOUT’.
I think the MP3 source was a little better quality, so I was hoping to stream that one if possible. Any other options to try? Thanks again!

Edit: there is a higher quality aac stream but Roon won’t play it. I’ll inform the Devs.
WTJU radio’s new streaming address is https://streams.wtju.net/wtju-live. The database still has the old link of http://streams.wtju.net:8000/wtju-192.mp3. I have also tried correcting this with Vtuner who have not responded to 4 attempts. Thank you.

@BrianW, I listen often to “Classic NL Mind Radio”. Recently I noticed that the qualitiy information about the streams offered in Roon do not reflect the stream I am actually receiving. When I choose the MP3 128kbps stream I actually get an AAC 44.1kHz. It is not a big problem (after all, I think the actual AAC stream is better than the offered MP3 stream) but the offered information is not correct. Maybe you can look at it.
This imperfection may apply to all Classic NL stations (I have not checked that). On the Classic NL website (Hoe te beluisteren?) you can find the following information about the stream addresses for all Classic NL radio stations.

Hello @Alfred_van_Hoorn , you have come across an idiosyncrasy of Roon live radio - if there is a .pls of some length then Roon tends to choose the other option in the list. It also takes a while to get started.
I have changed the URLs to another form - things should be better now. Try again.

The new stream URLs work much better. The streams start faster and two of the three streams now also contain meta information. That was not the case with the old URLs. However, the .m3u8 contains no meta information. Do you know why that happens?

The stream actually does hold metadata but Roon cannot currently deal with it natively. It is possible to provide such data with help from the Metadata Service created by @alec_eiffel and this is done on a case by case basis.
The .m3u8 stream is 64k as is the metadata carrying .aac stream - does it sound different?
Yes, this is a consequence of not using the .pls URL; that pointed to many streams, each of which Roon would check, taking time.

I was just curious why not all streams hold metadata. Thanks for the explanation. The .m3u8 stream and the .aac stream do not sound different. So if someone wants metadata the .aac stream is allright.
