Portrait vs landscape mode

Maybe this has been discussed before but I really like to know if I can use my Samsung tablets (8 and 11 inch) as Roon remote in portrait mode.

It has been asked before, and the answer remains the same.
Unfortunately, except for the Apple 12.9” iPad Pro , there is no current tablet (including all Android based ) that support portrait mode in Roon

My Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite will only run Roon Remote in portrait mode. I was of the impression Android tablets only ran portrait and most iPads only landscape.

That said there is an active support thread kicking around where someone is querying why Roon looks messed up starting in portrait mode on an iPad 10.5 that support seem to be looking into.

Problem with iPad Pro 10.5"

It’s unbelieveable what they did. Real shame. I have iPad Pro 10.5. If you have iPad in landscape mode and start Roon, it’s fine. But if you have iPad in portrait mode and then start Roon, it’s complete garbage (Roon window is portrait, but it’s displayed in landscape, so there are black bars on sides and you can’t see the whole Roon window). There is no solution other than kill Roon, rotate iPad in landscape mode and start it again. I just can’t believe how they manage to have some parts of s…
