· after update i can not listen to music anymore, local and tidal files appear but when played not playing, small ball next to play button is greyed out, roon sees my kef speakers but sends nothing to it, does also not play when i put the ipad as output

Does this issue happen no matter the Roon Remote device you attempt to use?
From a fresh Roon Server diagnostic report, we can actually see a known issue affecting certain windows machines after our last update, here is the tracking thread for more information:
The short-term workaround is to disable Smart App Control, the new Windows AI security features that works in concert with the Microsoft Defender firewall to statefully police network-dependent apps. Take this step if only you are willing, although the Defender firewall will remain active either way. To turn off Smart App Control in Windows 11, open the Start menu, search for and open Windows Security, click App & browser control, select Smart App Control settings, and change the option to Off
