Problem connecting my QNAP for the ARC application

You’ll need to do two things to enable port forwarding in the setup you’ve described, based on your diagnostic message:

  1. Add Roon and its processes as exceptions to the QFirewall on your QNAP. This will require using the static IP address and port assignment listed in Roon → Settings → ARC.

  2. You will also need to add a manual port forwarding rule to the router in your setup, or if you have two routers, successfully place the upstream router in Bridge mode.
