Description Of Issue

I get this message when I try to login via the Mac Roon app on my account:

"Roon doesn’t seem to connect with the Roon Server.

"Your account needs to be quickly confirmed, then you’ll be all set.

Please check your internet connection and try again."

In other words; my Roon app can’t connect with the main Roon Server.
My internet connection is fine. Everything else works. I can get on all sites.

I logged out to see if I could resolve the following problem:

“Metadata Improver: Halted. Roon needs a software update”

Also; With Opera browser I can’t enter the topics on this website.
I get a circling animating on the center upper side of the web site.

And when I approached this Roon forum web site with Safari I got a security warning that the website’s certificate has been expired.

I am no expert, but it seems to me that something is wrong with the main Roon Server.

Actually the website’s certificate has been expired. This may also affect the login servers.

That was exactly the message I got from Safari when I wanted acces to this website.
And that might be the explanation why I can’t visit the topics with Opera.
So that might indeed the problem.

Thanks Black Jack.

Yeah, got the expired certificate message when I logged into this forum.

Really, what next?

Maybe that I have to wait to get this resolved until Monday 4 PM Dutch time because I live in the Netherlands?

Just kidding. I have confidence that support will resolve this quickly and efficiently.

It does indeed - they better fix it ASAP.

Roon Labs has to provide a new valid certificate I guess. I sent an e-mail to Mike just in case they didn’t notice already but unsure if the mails go through because of this issue.

Thanks again.

Same issue here, I first thought it’s related to updating my QNAP Roon package.
However now I can’t get authorization going through all steps (maybe becuase of the certificate issue ?)
I only get a prompt:
are you online? your account needs to be quickly confirmed. then you’ll be all set.*
Please check your internet connection and try again
Retry

Same issue, same note. If this is the certificate issue, will the fix work for everybody. Really disappointing, since two weeks now I can’t access properly. First based on a forum solution I had to do deauthorize to authorize ( ???). And after every night shut down of server I had to reenter Userdata and now finally I cant get in at all with the message described from Paul

Good news. It’s working again for me.

The

“Metadata Improver: Halted. Roon needs a software update”

And

are you online? your account needs to be quickly confirmed. then you’ll be all set. *
Please check your internet connection and try again
Retry

are both gone.

It’s all good now.

Yeah, I didn’t now what to make of this message:

And how did you get it to work again? I still have the same.

Well, I did nothing.

That’s why I wrote that it worked again for me.
I kinda hoped that the certificate issue was solved for everyone.

However, because I was not a 100% sure I posted the message above.
Maybe reboot? I know, not really expert advice but it may work.

Thank you - will try!

Thank you, yes it is working again! Only the “deauthorize core” to authorize and input of Login data after each restart of server is still there. Hope there will be a software fix to change this.
