Description of Issue

I have three BlueSound devices that have been connected via Roon for a couple of years: Node 2i, Pulse Flex and a Pulse Flex 2i. A couple of weeks ago, Roon stopped recognizing the Pulse Flex 2i as a Roon Ready device. Instead, it sees it as an Other Network Device available via AirPlay. How do I get it back to being recognized as a Roon Ready device (the sound quality is better)? I have updated all Roon, BlueSound and router software and shutdown/rebooted Roon Core (Nucleus), BlueSound devices and the router. I also tried connecting the Pulse Flex 2i using ethernet to the router and it was still not recognized as a Roon Ready device.

Roon Server Platform

Nucleus

Roon Server Specifications

Nucleus since 2018 I think. Internal hard drive. 4 RAM?

Connected Audio Devices

BlueSound Node 2i, Pulse Flex, Pulse Flex 2i WiFi. Chord Quest DAC USB

Home Network Details

Nucleus connected to router (Synology RT2600ac) via ethernet. There is also a TP-Link RE220 WiFi extender

What version of BluOS do you have on it?

The Ethernet connection should have brought it back to life. I would do a factory reset on the Pulse Flex 2i, set it back up and see what happens.

Both the Pulse Flex 2i and the BluOS controller indicate that they are on the latest version (No Update Available)

It’s on Ethernet right now and not seen as a Roon Ready device - only Airplay. I will do a factory reset tomorrow and see what happens.

I have three Node 2is, a Node, a Pulse 2i and two Pulse Flex 2is and when all else fails, a factory reset has always corrected the problem. Good luck!

It should work then my 2 Flexes show up as Roon Ready. A reset would probably be the next thing to do, their software can be rather flaky.
