QNAP - Roon Server = Stopped after update [Fixed in build 880]

@Patouskii. Thank you for bringing this up. I noticed that DB backup was in two places. The SSD drive and the folder where I have my music folder. I don’t remember making that change personally. But my last roon backup before the issue started was in the folder where the music files are stored.

Is it safe to assume I can copy the backup to the SSD and point roon to backup to the SSD? After the new install this morning I pointed the backups back to the SSD.

Did this work for you?, i have the same issue after manual install i get the white screen with the roon logo. my database is for sure on a separate SSD.

Actually. Its not my problem, but a Friend of mine is running roon on a ts 269 and it’s not running since months…

Would be happy if a solution can be found.

It seems that I’m back at endless loading jellyfish icon after updating my core to Build 884. Everything worked fine before the update. I guess we can’t update the Roon nowadays without fear of losing connection completely. Well happy holidays… I hope it connects eventually but now it’s been rolling for 20 minutes with no connection to core.

UPDATE:

Now after two hours of loading jellyfish icon the front page just suddenly popped out. So I’m not sure what it did for two hours, maybe updated database or something? Anyway it works now. Weird behavior for sure.

Same behavior continues. I just updated to build 898 and now haven’t been able to connect to the core for last 30 minutes. I hope it fixes by itself overnight again.

UPDATE:

This time it was user error. I couldn’t access the core since my QNAP decided to ban my iPhone ip-address for 24 hours during the Roon update process. After clearing that, I can connect now.
