To illustrate:

I have hearted 2 albums of Matt Berninger in Qobuz:

the album ‘Get Sunk’ is hearted in Qobuz webapplication - it is added and presented in Qobuz -My Qobuz, but it is NOT added to My Library (not after resyncing, rebooting, re… everything)

the album ‘Serpentine Prison’ is hearted in Qobuz Windows App

the album is added and presented in Qobuz -My Qobuz, and is added to My Library

This is the same for other albums.

This has been reported already long time ago, but it remains annoying (and dare I say incomprehensible)

Hello @Dirk_De_Taey,

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

  • Can you confirm if the hearted albums in the Qobuz web interface appear in the “Favorites” section of your Qobuz account when viewed in the Qobuz desktop or mobile app?
  • After hearting the album in the Qobuz web interface, did you manually trigger a sync in Roon by going to Settings > Services > Qobuz > Sync Library Now? And let us know the timestamp when you will click on this button to check the diagnostic data for this time.

I can confirm the hearted albums are present in Qobuz "Favorites’

As requested, I executed ‘Sync Library Now’ at 18:40 CET.

Thanks for your support

Hey @Dirk_De_Taey,

Thanks for the additional information! I noticed that you’ve shared a screenshot of your ‘My Albums’ page, sorted by newly added. Does ‘Get Sunk’ still pop up on your home page to your added albums?

Or, if you navigate to the album within Roon, is it added to your library? I’m curious if maybe there’s an issue with the sorting function via ‘My Albums’.

Assuming it’s not added to your library - are you performing any specific function between the time you favorite the albums via Qobuz to when you only see one of the albums appear in Roon?

You mention your server is connected via ethernet - is it connected to your primary router? If not, would you be able to test out this setup temporarily and see if the issue repeats?

Thank you!

Sorry but apparently I did not explain the issue vlear enough as it cannot have anything to do with the network setup.

Let me (try to) explain again.

If I use the Qobuz app on my Windows pc, and I heart an album in the app, all is working fine and the album is added to My Library.

If I use the Qobuz webpage on my Windo%s pc and I heart an album on the webpage, that album is never added automatically to My Library

Hi @Dirk_De_Taey ,

Thanks for the additional confirmation. I was able to locate a ticket regarding this behavior, and the team noted last time this popped up that this issue should be addressed from Qobuz’s end. Have you by any chance reached out with your report yet directly to Qobuz support? If not, can you please do so and let us know what they say?

Hi @Dirk_De_Taey

Just another user here, and one who previously experienced similar issues a few months ago with Qobuz (amongst other issues) and I believe logging out of Qobuz within Roon and then logging back in helped.

I appreciate this should not have to be done, but doing this could help Roon/Qobuz identify the cause.

Done this several times, but does not help.

Hi Noris

I tried to contact Qobuz support about this, but I have not succeeded in having their 1st line support to ‘understand’ the issue and to communicate it (/open a ticket) at their 2nd line support/development team.

I do understand something different is happening at Qobuz side. When e.g. new releases are presented on Friday morning, they are visible in the Qobuz Windows app at least 4 hours earlier than on the Qobuz webpage. If it were on the same platform, it would be instantaneous, ot within minurtes at least.

However, I feel that for this integration service I am your customer and not Qobuz (directly at least ).
So, may I return the question, do you personally experience the same issue as I and others do )
or not. Should we do a quick poll amongst Roon technical staff and Roon users to find out if this a general problem or not.

A data point from this user shows that Qobuz albums are syncing as expected…

Hi Geoff

With all do respect, how was the album added to your Library?

  1. From within Roon - Add to Library?
  2. From Qobuz Windows app?
  3. From Qobuz webpage ?

Dirk

From the Qobuz app (on Windows)…

Thanks, working fine for me too.

It is the Qobuz webpage that is not delivering the correct/expected result.

Well, the webpage is working for me…

Sorry but you are referring to the APP

Qobuz Webpage:

Qobuz App :

I am not referring to the app - that first screenshot of mine is clearly the webpage in the Edge browser…

Your screenshot seems to be of the Download store.

Edit: However, I see now that you are correct: favouriting albums in the Download store do not get synced to Roon, even though Qobuz will add them to its Favourites list. They will show up as favourites in the Web Player, the App and in the My Qobuz page of Roon, but do not get synced…

I suspect this is something at Qobuz’s end…

Thanks for the clarity here @Dirk_De_Taey! @Geoff_Coupe is correct in that the last time this issue popped up, it originated on the Qobuz side. We’ve pinged our integrations team to investigate this further - once they have any new information to share, we’ll certainly keep you in the loop!

You have not toconvince me that the issue is at Qobuz’ side.

You have to convince Qobuz to do something about it. It cannot be that difficult as the 1st step is taken without any hurdles, i.e. albums are showing up in Roon at Qobuz - My Qobuz. So they are identified to be ‘related to’ Roon.
Now just doing it all the way.

Hi @Dirk_De_Taey

Me again

Recently, well since February or March I believe Qobuz has been having issues behind the scenes. What these are exactly is a mystery to me.

A few months ago users had random albums/tracks being added to the their Roon/Qobiz libraries. But these didn’t show up in the Qobuz app. This was a Qobuz issue though, they confirmed it.

At the same time I reported a similar issue where my Qobuz library, almost all albums, didn’t show up on the albums overview page but were showing on the My Qobuz page, but again not all were showing.

I believe it was issues with individual accounts.

So I setup a new Qobuz subscription. Used Soundiiz to restore my Qobuz favourites from a Soundiiz backup.

Logged into Qobuz within Roon and hey presto all resolved.

I’m wondering if what you’re experiencing is the tail end of all this shenanigans.

At the time I was getting really annoyed with it all and can understand if you’re getting annoyed/frustrated.

Let’s see what Qobuz feedback to Roon :+1:

This is an issue I reported long ago, but unfortunately nothing was done to solve.
Now that Qobuz Connect finally has been released, maybe there is some willingness at Qobuz to tackle less urgent/important issues.
