Records stuck at 0:00 across multiple devices in Roon (ref#6IMLHU)

Ok. Enjoy your trip. Safe travels.

When you are back:

In Package Manager, uninstall your old Roon package that is for DSM 6.

Go to Synology DSM7 – RoonOnNAS and download the installer to your computer (scroll down that page to see it).

In Package Center, you will have to use the Manual Install button at the top right:

…from there, it will ask you to locate the package you downloaded above onto your computer. Proceed from there, following the installation prompts carefully to point to the right things (like the folder where your music resides).

Once that’s done, you can try again to install ffmpeg:

Binaries of ffmpeg can be downloaded from JohnVanSickles website. You’ll need the amd64 version for Roon Server on the diskstation.

Extract the tar.xz archive (if you need guidance doing that, let us know here in the forums) and copy the ffmpeg from the extracted files folder into:

<< Your selected database location >> / RoonOnNAS / bin

Then restart Roon Server in the Package Center.

After that, you can let us all know you got that far and we (forum users or Roon support) can walk you through restoring your Roon database backup, unless you decide you don’t want to. Let us know.
