What’s happening? · I'm having trouble logging in
Where are you having trouble logging in? · I can't log into the Roon app
Describe the issue When I go to log in I am asked to connect to my Roon server which is my Macbook Pro, once I hit connect I get taken to the log in page, I then log in and get taken to a Welcome Back page that says 'make sure you downloaded this app from Roon' I then go to the sign in part and it takes me back to the first log in or sign up page, I log in again and it takes me back to the Welcome Back page and then the whole cycle repeats itself.
Describe your network setup Virgin Media Router
I’m coming back to Roon after a few years away and I can’t get logged back into Roon on my MacBook Pro.
My music used to be stored on my MacBook but I now have a NAS.
When I try to sign in to Roon I keep getting the below and this just keeps repeating over and over again.

The login now goes through the default browser. Try turning off all cookie blockers, popup blockers, third-party block extensions and similar stuff in the browser. (Just for doing the login)

To this thread. Please do not post mutiple identical support requests as it dilutes Roon’s ability to provide a resolution to your request.
I’ve moved to another browser to log in, I’m going to have to pay to subscribe for one month.
I’ve no issue doing this if I’m able to log in however I don’t want to go ahead and pay for one £14.99 if I can’t get logged in.
Does anyone know if I will be refunded if I can’t get logged back in?

Well you will only be able to log in if you have an active account. I don’t know about refunds

Yeah, I had the free trial when I tried earlier but cancelled it when I couldn’t get logged in.

I guess Roon Labs will be able to reactivate the trial
Paid the £15 and I’m still getting the same issue after logging in from another browser.
If I go back a page I get the below.

You said
But here in your last screenshot you are trying to connect to a Roon OS machine, which is a Nucleus or ROCK. Your MacBook isn’t using Roon OS.
Please post a screenshot of what you see when you close this window with the Done button.
Previously your screenshots showed the login windows, which was a different thing
That’s all I am getting, I can’t get past the log in screen.
I’ve not paid the monthly fee of £15 and I can’t get past the log in screen on 3 different browsers now.
When i hit the done button it just takes me back to the log in screen.

I see. Do you have any other network blocking stuff? Some people had this with a Pi-hole for instance, which was blocking certain Roon traffic. Or maybe your other browsers also have some blockers enabled. Or maybe you have some system-wide privacy/block tools like AdGuard
I’ve disabled everything and still no luck.

Then I guess you’ll have to wait for official support unless someone else has an idea. There were also other cases of this on the forum, so a search may turn up more ideas
I found the solution, I’m using a 2012 MacBook Pro which OS isn’t supported by Roon 2.0 so I had to uninstall 2.0 and install version 1.8.
My Roon Core is a Synology NAS.
Only issue I have now is that Roon and Roon ARC on my mobile can’t find the server?

Oh
ARC won’t work with 1.8 because ARC was a new feature in 2.0

By the way, depending on your hardware it may be possible to upgrade the MacBook to a more recent macOS that works with Roon:

Yip just seen figured that out, the Roon app can’t connect to the server either though.
That’s on iOS and Android devices?

If you use an 1.8 server you must install the „Roon Remote Legacy“ on the mobiles, which is the 1.8 version. (The 2.0 remote is called just „Roon“)
