I’ve been using rooDial, which was developed for @DrCWO, for some time now, and just upgraded to rooMax. I stream from my Roon server to a miniDSP Flex. I love having the rotary knob for volume control, and the button functionality with the Xencelabs Quick Keys in rooMax opens up all sorts of possibilities for controlling miniDSP devices in addition to volume control. I envision having the ability to switch between miniDSP profiles, selecting inputs, and of course volume control.
Hi Michael,
thanks for your request.
if you like post in other threads that are miniDSP related with a link to here. Maybe with this we can attract more attention to a miniDSP solution.
I soon will post in my rooExtend main thread.

Today I played a bit around with the minidsp-rs application.
But I was not able to make it run on a Raspbberry Pi. It can be installed but I was not able to detect my miniSharc 2x8 device. Opened an Issue. Hopefully we get some updates on this from the maintainer
I also tested the elder minidsp.js software. I was able to run it (after some modification) and alter the volume of my miniSharc 2x8
But it would be better if the newer library can be used as it supports more miniDsp devices out of the box.

I installed the MiniDSP-rs application on the Mac Mini that runs my Roon Server, and had the same issue. I figured that I just didn’t know what I was doing.
I would potentially be interested. MiniDSP Flex HT user here.
