Dr CWO a big thanks RooMax is excellent for controlling Roon - now one feature I would love is something that can send IR commands - and being able to send those IR commands using the Quick keys controller - one command for volume and one for input selection of my preamp

You can do this now with DeepHarmony and use rooMax to send the volume up/down commands. Better IR support directly from rooExtend would be a great addition @DrCWO thanks for putting this on the list.

I setup rooMax yesterday, using an old Pi3 for RooExtend. It works wonderfully and is just what I needed. Thanks, @DrCWO for making this a reality.

I am facing an issue that I can assign playlists created in roon to selected buttons in the settings, but when I click these specific buttons nothing happens. The playlists what I created in tidal however works as intended.
Is this a known issue or I do something wrong?

There is an issue on the Roon API side that Smart Playlists are not yet supported by the Roon API. Is the playlist you like to use a smart one?

rooMax is already available on the rooExtend-Box with v3.4.2. Please check in the rooExtend License Manager if you already have this release. You should. If not please post this from the and of your settings dialog in the License manager:

Only the latest improvement for the zone selection via the wheel is not yet rolled out for the rooExtend-Box.

The issue faced when using Webhooks has been ‘Roon Zone Selected’ must be selected to activate the webhooks otherwise if a Roon Zone is not selected - message: No Zone Selected, White Ring and no activations of Webhooks.

Fixed that right now and it will be in the next release.

Would it be possible to add a setting to remove the limitation on 100 lists shown in the GUI? (of course with a: “not recomended” warning

@DrCWO is this option to go above a 100 playlists in RooMax still coming? It would be nice not bumping into that limitation🙂

I’m really enjoying the new way of controlling that RooMax and QuickKeys brings. It’s sort in between an iPad and the Numio/Dial in quick and casual access to Roon. It easily covers the whole apartment and its four zones. You really made a great addition to Roon here​:+1:

I’m finding rooMax to be very useful.

One thing that I think would be a useful addition to the functions of the rooMax Control Sets:

The way I have set up the Control Sets is to have Control Set 1 with my most frequently used functions (and I would imagine most people would set it up similarly). And then Control Set 2, 3 and 4 are used for less frequently used functions.

It would be very useful if the button that toggles the Control Sets could have the option of a Long Press to go directly back to Control Set 1.

Really love the functionality of Roomax and the QuickKeys controller.

A possible feature that I would like to use - quite often when listening to playlists - I come across albums and tracks that I would love to add to Roon or even mark as a “favourite” - would be a cool feature instead of needing to retrieve ones IPad or phone. Don’t know if this feature would be at all possible?
