We’ve released a hotfix addressing critical issues resulting in RoonServer crashes, connectivity disruptions for MacOS users, issues with Audio zone disapperance. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
What Happened:
A recent change in our build infrastructure introduced a regression, primarily impacting users attempting to import local content. This led to crash loops requiring manual intervention to resolve.
Who Is Affected:
This issue specifically affects MacOS 10.* and 11.* users. Other operating systems are not impacted and do not require an update.
How to Apply the Hotfix:

Quit Roon app.

Quit RoonServer from the system tray (see pic)

Download the latest version of Roon for Mac from our Downloads page.

Install the new version: When prompted with “A newer item named ‘Roon’ already exists in this location…”, click
Replace
.

Select a different Roon Server
button if you ended up on theWating for your Roon Server
screen
