Smooth and faster update than I expected. So far, I’m amazed by how fast the search is in my large library.

Worth knowing that since my core is now on a Mac Studio. As to ARC, I’m thinking of not updating the iPhone since I stupidly did not contact the cloud for a month and am now unauthorized and will stay offline as I don’t want to lose the music that I’ve downloaded.
For me, this feels like the most significant update in years. The new search performance makes it feel like a totally different app.
It’s amazingly fast, I love it! Finally the snappy experience I was waiting for

If you have upgraded your core, the faster search already works in the older iOS app versions.

After about ten years of waiting, Roon finally has a fast search engine that can handle mistypings and actually find track titles without flooding the results with unrelated stuff.
Honestly, search has been one of my biggest frustrations with Roon for years. I literally moved a lot of my listening over to Spotify because, compared to Spotify, Roon’s search felt far behind where it should have been.
So yes, this update has taken way too long. But it also feels like one of the most important Roon updates ever. For me, this is the kind of change that makes me seriously reconsider using Roon more again.

Arc and Roon updates are not available for me in either the ios or android store. This is the India store.
I agree that searching a large library is significantly better. But, on the other hand, Qobuz no longer features on the left hand side. My Qobuz favourites, within Albums, play perfectly but when I go to services Qobuz is ‘Not conigured’. Entering correct credentials achieves nothing and it gives no error message. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this after the update.
PS I have just rebooted my nuc and all has returned to normal. Hope that this helps if anyone else experiences a similar issue.

This delay to the delivery of ARC on the play store seems to be becoming a regular occurrence of late.
The Roon App has not suffered the same delays.
Will my Nucleus+ Rev A still work on the latest roon core update 2.70 with the previous roon remote 2.67 and Arc 1.79 for iOS? Neither apps are available yet in the Apple store.

This change is designed to make existing library search behavior faster. It is not intended to change what Roon finds or how results are ranked.
Wow! Lifetime since 2017 and this is the first time search hasn’t been a sluggish mess. Great work!
