Hi @Chris_Berry1 ,
What is the tablet model?
Does Roon open and then freeze? Or is it not opening at all?
Have you tried rebooting / reinstalling?

Its a Samsung Galaxy Tab A
Model No SM-T550
Roon opens but freezes.
I’ve tried rebooting and even done a factory reset. But no good.

Thanks for the details, @Chris_Berry1 . It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue that our team is currently working to resolve. You can read more about this here:
Our team has been hard at work gathering data and doing internal testing on this issue and we wanted to provide everyone with an update:
In our recent releases we’ve been working toward improving Roon’s graphical capabilities, and unfortunately these changes appear to be causing issues on some older Android devices with certain Adreno 300-series GPUs. Our QA team (and our alpha testers) test with a wide variety of devices, but unfortunately the device that we use to test this GPU family happens…
Thank you for getting back to me.
If you could keep me updated to when you may have a patch to update with please, thank you
Chris

Definitely will, @Chris_Berry1 ! In the meantime, we’ve posted the latest info here:
Over the last week our team has continued to work on resolving issues impacting certain older GPUs. Roon is built on a custom UI engine and as we continue to push our graphical capabilities forward, older chipsets may struggle to keep up with the improvements in cases where their drivers are not performing properly.
We regularly test with a variety of devices new and old, but some of the recent issues affected devices roughly a decade old, or devices only used by a small fraction of our custome…

Hello,
We’ve released a new update, Roon 1.7 Build 528, which contains improvements that we believe will help with the issues you are experiencing here. Please see our release notes below:
Hi everyone!
We have a maintenance release going live, with a number of bug fixes and performance improvements.
As we continue to push Roon’s graphical capabilities forward, we’ve become aware of issues related to some older graphics chipsets. Over the last few weeks our team has acquired a number of older devices, which have allowed us to better understand how their drivers are misbehaving and work around these limitations.
Today’s release addresses a number of hardware releases, along with…
Thanks,
The Team At Roon Labs
