Description of Issue

Roon Server needs updating. Go to Settings > About on the Roon control client to perform an update.

Or it’s another case of having installed ARC Beta while using the Roon Server production release like in this thread:

I tried that but there was no update available for me to install and said the server is the correct version. Alternatively I have found a quick fix by removing myself from the BETA Program and reinstalled the Public One. Once Roon finds a fix for that let me know and I will re join the Beta as I love testing out new features for you guys.

You should not mix Beta / Early Access with Production. Things like this will happen. Either switch everything over to Early Access or leave everything with Production releases.

Early Access information is here:

It is easy to switch Android remotes to Beta in the Play Store without realizing that this will at least occasionally require a RoonServer from Early Access as well. The Play Store description of the Beta does not point this out, or at least I can’t find that info either. I have alerted Roon to this potential confusion here:

@Brian_Downey - See this post:

Same issue here. Proceeded to check out of the early access program on arc, redownloaded the normal version. No dice. Im running roon rock which seems to be stuck on version 2.0 ( build 1353) and it says its the latest version.

That is the latest Production version…
