Frequent dropouts and freezing while streaming Qobuz/Tidal on Roon (ref#BBH93F)

What’s happening? · I am experiencing freezes or crashes Describe the issue I have always had issues with drop outs using roon and freezing while playing Qobuz or tidal with the software and I have a pretty decent computer as a core, I’ve never had issues with any BluOS systems on the same network. So I’m kinda at a loss if it’s the software or do I have to do something different with the computer running the core. Describe your network setup All ubiquity

If it’s a continuation how did you get on with the suggestions / troubleshooting steps that @connor suggested?

We’re pinging this thread for a response after the weekend. Please clarify if you’re experiencing the same issue you reported earlier or a new symptom.

If you can provide the specific title of a track that dropped out with Roon, we’ll be able to pinpoint the event in logs.

Before, you reported that your dropouts were specific to streaming services.

We’d suggested that you take some actions specific to the Ubiquiti network setup that you had shared in your previous report.

Can you please clarify whether your RoonServer machine is connected via ethernet to the main router or to a mesh node?

Do you have any managed switches in this setup?

In your Ubiquiti settings, have you tried verifying that any settings related to multicast forwarding are toggled on?

We also recommend assigning a reliable DNS server. This will be in the router settings page, usually under a section directly labelled “DNS.” Try setting a custom DNS server and assigning it to QuadNine (9.9.9.9) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1).
